What Makes It Special Most electric fires read as electric from across the room. The Rosedale uses multi-layer flame technology—orange and yellow flames that grow from front to back and side to middle, over a glowing log set and a modulating ember bed—so the fire moves the way a real one does. The glass is tinted and anti-glare, so you see the fire, not your lamp reflected in it. It fits most existing wood, masonry, or gas firebox openings with no venting to run, and it shares its rough framing with Napoleon’s Rosedale gas inserts—frame now, choose your fuel later. Plug it into a standard outlet, or have it hardwired to 240 volts to double the heat for a room that needs it. Set the thermostat on the included remote and the fire holds the room there on its own. ECO mode runs at half heat to use less electricity on mild evenings, and BOOST runs the heater at maximum with a faster fan when the room starts out cold. The Napoleon Home app and voice control through Google Home or Alexa are there when the remote is across the room. Possible Downsides • Built-in only.
