What Makes It Special The B30 is the smallest fireplace in Napoleon’s Ascent line, with a compact body and slim depth that fits into walls where deeper units won’t go. The hand-painted split oak log set comes standard, so the fire looks like a real wood fire from day one—no upgrade required. Here’s the part that matters in January: the ignition has battery back-up, so the fireplace still lights when the power goes out—keep batteries in it, or connect your own power bank, and an outage doesn’t take your fire with it. And because it’s a sealed direct-vent unit, the exhaust never touches your room air; the fire burns outside air, and your indoor air stays clean.
